My Approach
I work from an attachment and relationship based approach, building trust to allow sharing of inner conflicts and areas of difficulty, and exploring the unique needs of each client to provide understanding and relief. Psychotherapy can be a sensitive and complex undertaking, and I approach this important work with compassion and a belief in your capacity for growth and healing.
Many people seek therapy due to specific struggles, such as anxiety or depression. While finding relief is important, my goal is to help you achieve lasting change. By gaining a deeper understanding of the "why," you can not only feel better in the short term, but develop lasting resilience and a stronger sense of self.
Alongside space for depth-oriented processing, I also incorporate collaborative problem solving and cognitive behavioral strategies (CBT) into treatment as appropriate, highlighting strengths and helping clients identify and mobilize inner resources and coping skills.
